MARKETING & DESIGN

Turning information into clear, purposeful visual communication.

My professional experience in marketing and design has given me the opportunity to work across a wide range of creative disciplines while developing a strong understanding of how design functions within a larger communication strategy. In my current role at Sabel Systems, I work across graphic design, motion graphics, presentation design, social media, campaigns, and corporate communications—often taking complex technical information and translating it into visual content that is clear, engaging, and accessible.

This work is an important part of my creative practice because it combines the skills I developed through my formal art education with the strategic thinking required in a professional marketing environment. Every project requires consideration of audience, purpose, hierarchy, brand consistency, and how information will ultimately be experienced.

My role spans both creative development and execution. Depending on the project, I may be developing a concept from the beginning, refining an established visual direction, creating supporting graphics, building a presentation, producing an animation, or adapting content for digital channels.

Working in marketing has expanded the way I think about design. Fine art taught me how to think visually; professional design has taught me how to apply that thinking with a specific audience, objective, deadline, and business need in mind.

I have also learned how important it is to make complex information approachable. Much of my work involves technical, engineering, or defense-related subject matter that may be unfamiliar to the intended audience. My role is often to identify the most important information, establish visual hierarchy, and create a design that communicates the idea without overwhelming the viewer.

That process has strengthened my ability to balance creativity with clarity, which has become one of the most valuable parts of my professional practice.
