UD Woodshop
As a Studio Technician for the University of Dayton's Art Department, I supported the day-to-day operations of the woodshop and helped prepare materials and resources for classroom instruction. In this hands-on role, I gained experience working with a wide range of woodworking materials, tools, and equipment while developing a strong understanding of shop safety, tool maintenance, and inventory management.
Beyond the technical skills, the position strengthened my abilities in organization, space management, and problem-solving. Whether coordinating materials for student projects, maintaining an efficient workspace, or troubleshooting challenges as they arose, I learned the importance of adaptability and attention to detail. This experience provided a valuable foundation in both technical craftsmanship and operational support, and it remains one of the most rewarding learning opportunities of my career.

Tasked with editing a room design for the UD Art Department that would allow for more flow inside the classroom considering the projects that students worked on were 3D and large
Created a custom-built shelf, using Google Sketchup as a starting point, sourcing the wood for the project, assembling it, and staining the wood along with final touches.
