ABOUT ME
I’m a Dayton, Ohio–based artist, designer, and marketing professional with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a concentration in ceramics. My creative background has shaped the way I approach design, giving me a strong appreciation for both the conceptual and technical sides of the creative process.
I currently work as a Marketing & Design Specialist at Sabel Systems, a digital engineering and DefenseTech company that develops secure, mission-focused technology and engineering solutions for defense and federal organizations. In my role, I work across motion graphics, graphic and presentation design, social media, marketing campaigns, visual storytelling, and corporate communications—often translating complex technical concepts into clear, engaging visual content.
My professional experience has also been shaped by my time at Stivers School for the Arts, where I worked as a Gallery Coordinator in 2023. Working within an arts-focused environment gave me the opportunity to develop valuable skills in gallery operations, exhibition coordination, and community engagement while surrounding me with incredibly talented artists and educators. More importantly, I met some of the most influential people in my creative journey—individuals who were deeply passionate about creating, teaching, and building a strong artistic community. Many of those relationships have continued beyond my time at Stivers, and I still look to these mentors for guidance and inspiration.
Outside of my professional work, I’m happiest when I’m making something. Ceramics has been a longtime passion, but crochet has become one of my favorite creative outlets. What started as a hobby has grown into a skill I've intentionally developed, challenging myself with increasingly complex patterns, techniques, and projects.
When I’m not working or creating, I enjoy staying active through swimming, yoga, tennis, and exercise. I also love playing Dungeons & Dragons, which has become a regular creative and social outlet for me. I’m always working on some kind of project—whether that's a new crochet pattern, a ceramic piece, or simply finding another way to keep learning and making.
EXPERIENCE
My experience spans marketing, design, fine art, gallery operations, and hands-on studio practice. Each role has given me a different perspective on the creative process—from developing visual communications for a defense technology company to managing studio spaces, coordinating exhibitions, and working directly with traditional artistic mediums.
Across these experiences, I have developed a multidisciplinary approach to making and design. My background in fine art gives me a strong foundation in composition, color, materials, and visual problem-solving, while my professional marketing experience has taught me how to apply those skills strategically.
From digital design and social media to ceramics, gallery work, and traditional crafts, I enjoy working across disciplines and continually expanding my creative skill set.
MARKETING & DESIGN
Sabel Systems | Marketing & Design Specialist
In my current role at Sabel Systems, I work across a broad range of marketing and design initiatives, including motion graphics, graphic design, presentation design, social media, campaign development, and corporate communications. I frequently work with complex technical and defense-focused subject matter, translating information into clear, engaging visual content for both internal and external audiences.
My responsibilities have allowed me to develop experience across the full creative process, from concept development and visual storytelling to production and final delivery. I also contribute to social media strategy and content creation, helping maintain a consistent visual identity across digital platforms.
STUDIO & TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
University of Dayton | Studio Technician
During my time at the University of Dayton, I worked as a Studio Technician within the university's studio facilities. This experience gave me hands-on knowledge of studio management, equipment, materials, safety procedures, and the practical demands of maintaining a large creative workspace.
My responsibilities included maintaining and organizing studio spaces, properly cleaning ceramic facilities, handling and disposing of hazardous materials and chemicals, assisting with equipment and kiln operations, and supporting students and faculty. The position also required significant physical work, including safely moving and lifting heavy equipment and materials.
Working in this environment gave me an appreciation for the technical infrastructure behind creative work and taught me how organization, safety, and proper studio practices directly support the creative process.

Stivers School for the Arts
My gallery experience has given me a strong understanding of the planning and coordination required to bring artwork from the studio into a public space. At both the University of Dayton and Stivers School for the Arts, I gained experience working with artists, exhibitions, gallery spaces, artwork handling, installation, and community engagement.
My time as a Gallery Coordinator at Stivers was particularly influential. Working alongside professional artists and educators gave me the opportunity to learn from people who were deeply invested in creating, teaching, and building a strong arts community. The relationships and mentorship I gained during this time continue to influence my creative practice today.
CERAMICS & TRADITIONAL CRAFTS
BFA Fine Arts, Concentration in Ceramics
Ceramics has been a significant part of my artistic practice since high school, with my technical and conceptual foundation developing extensively during college. My experience includes wheel throwing, hand-building, glaze mixing and formulation, kiln operation, and multiple firing techniques, including Raku.
Raku has been a particularly valuable part of my ceramic education, teaching me to work with high heat, glaze chemistry, reduction atmospheres, and the unpredictable nature of the firing process. I have also explored the ethics and sustainability of working with clay, including responsible material use, reclamation, waste reduction, and safe studio practices.
My ceramic practice has primarily focused on functional forms, including bowls, plates, and complete dinnerware sets. Creating sets for family and friends has given me valuable practice in consistency, proportion, functionality, and craftsmanship.
FIBER & TEXTILE ARTS
Crochet | Sewing
My creative practice extends beyond traditional studio mediums into fiber and textile work. Crochet has become a particularly developed skill, evolving from a personal hobby into a craft that I continue to challenge myself with through increasingly complex patterns, techniques, and projects. I also have experience with basic sewing and textile construction.
Working with fiber has strengthened many of the same skills I use in design and ceramics: patience, precision, repetition, pattern recognition, and an understanding of how individual components come together to create a finished piece.
